I am an engineer with expertise in signal and image processing, computer vision, machine learning and data analysis, with a keen interest in developing novel approaches for data analysis and information extraction, especially in the context of biomedical applications. I am actively involved in a number of R&D projects including projects on brain-computer interfacing, novel applications of medical thermography, EEG-based biometry, automated food inspection using hyperspectral imaging, and contactless patient monitoring, amongst others. During the past few years I have also secured various grants as the principal coordinator/co-applicant of a number of projects involving collaborations between industry, academia and public entities.
