The Bioarte
The BioArte is an innovative player in the field of biomolecular research, highly specialized in researching the human microbiota and microbial communities in other environments. The aim of our diagnostic analyses is towards all types of microorganisms, ranging from those which are essential for our well-being to those which are pathogenic. The BioArte is developing personalised remedies for several diseases by providing molecules obtained from human and animal microbiota. Located in the heart of Malta, Europe — between two dynamic establishments just 15 minutes of each other — The founders of the BioArte Ltd have been caring for patients and customers from around the world for more than 25 years. Our scientific founders have pioneered our modern understanding of how the immune system senses microbes and contributed seminal discoveries to the microbiome field, including the identification of immune-regulating and immune-potentiating bacteria that live in association with humans, animals, and flora.

Comed Therapeutics
COMED Therapeutics is a biotechnology company developing potentially first-in-class intracellular therapies. Founded in 2019, now headquartered at the Malta Life Sciences Park, COMED is advancing novel technologies that deliver antibodies, proteins, peptides, and RNA directly into cells—unlocking disease targets long considered “undruggable.” Our patented platform enables the delivery of therapeutic molecules into the cellular interior. Combined with our portfolio of patented engineered antibodies, this dual approach creates new opportunities to overcome the limitations of conventional biologics and treat diseases driven by intracellular mechanisms. Three therapeutic candidates are advancing through preclinical research. The lead program in pancreatic cancer, the deadliest of all major cancers, directly targets oncogenic drivers inside tumor cells. Additional programs are focused on spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), a devastating neuromuscular disorder, and malaria, one of the world’s most persistent health burdens. Validation studies have demonstrated our platform’s ability to enter cancer cells and block mutant signaling proteins responsible for tumor growth—a milestone with strong first-in-class potential. This positions COMED for accelerated development pathways, including Breakthrough Therapy and Orphan Drug opportunities. Our progress is supported by competitive funding and national recognition, including two separate research grants from Xjenza Malta—one for malaria and another for cancer—as well as innovation financing from Malta Enterprise. Operating from a state-of-the-art laboratory and supported by strategic European partnerships, COMED’s team of exceptional scientists—with expertise in molecular biology, genetics, pharmacokinetics, and other medical fields—is united by a clear purpose: redefining the concept of precision medicine by reaching inside the cell, developing therapies designed to strike with accuracy and leave everything else untouched.

Omnigene Medical Technologies Ltd
Omnigene medical technologies is actively engaged in innovations promoting accurate and precise test results from low volume and difficult samples in the area of cancer testing, and neurological conditions. The tests can be used in the clinic for patient surveillance, and in research laboratories to measure multiple analytes in a low volume or highly degraded material. The methodologies are versatile and can be used in various health areas, in research models, in archival material to minimise time lapse for validation of biomarkers, in liquid biopsies (circulating tumour cells and exosomes) and in clinical trials. The company offers genetic services in the clinical sector and microbiome analysis in health and wellbeing. The company also invests in development projects aimed to enhance existing technologies and to merge technologies towards specific aims. As a contract research organisation (CRO) we leverage our optimised methodologies to support the academic community and biotech companies to measure multiple analytes (DNA, RNA and proteins) in low input and low quality material. Omnigene Medical Technologies Ltd also represents companies that offer high-end technologies for the academic research laboratories and promotes cutting edge technologies for early detection of disease and its progression.
