Focuses on a wide range of corporate matters, including public and private mergers & acquisitions (including cross-border transactions) and joint ventures. Has a particular focus on private equity, as well as related real estate mergers and acquisitions, real estate joint ventures and co-investment deals and structures. Has advised clients on numerous high profile, cross-border, complex transactions in these areas. Also concentrates on corporate finance work and advises on restructurings and non-contentious insolvency matters. Recognised by Legal 500 UK 2024 for Real Estate: Commercial Property – Investment and Legal 500 UK 2022 for Private equity: transactions – high-value deals, in which clients note he is an “exceptional lawyer….technically brilliant, responsive and commercial.” Has been seconded to Cable & Wireless plc and AstraZenca plc.Notable engagements- Advised Brookfield on its €1.2bn sale of the Iberian PBSA Livensa Living portfolio to Nido Living- Advised Related Argent on its JV (a) with Invesco Real Estate to deliver £600m of GDV at the £8bn Brent Cross Town project, and (b) for the BTR development at the Triangle Site at King’s Cross, London- Advised Brookfield on its acquisition of (a) the Gazeley logistics business from EZW,(b) Center Parcs (and continues to advise on all aspects of its management and ownership of Center Parcs), and (c) 19 student housing portfolios across Spain and Portugal- Advised Apollo on the take private of Atlantic Leaf, a dual listed company, owning an extensive portfolio of industrial assets- Advised Brookfield on (a) a programmatic JV to acquire logistics and industrial assets across CEE, and (b) a multi-tiered JV for the acquisition of an iconic London office building- Advised Centerbridge on the acquisition and JV arrangements for a portfolio of boutique hotels in Belgium and Holland- Advised Realty Income on its purchase of a portfolio of supermarkets and other commercial properties- Advised China Overseas on the forward purchase of Carmelite Riverside, London- Advised Ashkenazy Acquisition in relation to the purchase of Old Spitalfields Market, London- Advised Cadbury, De La Rue, Fujitsu, Royal Mail and Thales on the sale of Camelot Group plc, the UK national lottery operator- Advised Entertainment One Limited re. its acquisition of the business of Canadian-listed Entertainment One Income Fund and fundraising and admission to AIM.Attorney advertising
