Background
About Paddy Paddison
Most of my career has been spent in telecoms and infrastructure, where I’ve worked on practical delivery and technology.I’m currently Chief Executive of INCA, the body that represents the UK’s independent broadband providers. I lead our work with government, regulators and industry to create a fair and competitive environment for investment and innovation. My background includes founding and growing a rural network operator, and supporting the Altnets on infrastructure policy. I’ve worked in high-scrutiny environments where independence, transparency and clear outcomes matter.I’m used to engaging with ministers, civil servants and regulators – often on complex or contested issues – and I bring a steady, direct approach to those conversations. I focus on clarity, follow-through, and making systems work for the people they’re meant to serve.Alongside this, I’m a trained jeweller and craftsman – work that’s slower, quieter, but still focused on precision and care.
