About Pamela-Jane Johnson

I’m Pamela, the managing director of SpiritAbility, and I have a fierce passion for supporting people living with a disability. As the daughter of a disabled mum, I know first-hand the inequality people living with a disability experience. I know how overwhelming and cold the support system can be. Which is why I am so fervent in my focus to change the status quo, and have dedicated my career to giving vulnerable people a voice. In a nutshell, my role is to steer our organisation’s growth and success. Since joining SpiritAbility, we have experienced a significant growth to the tune of 87 per cent. We are still a young business with a real capacity for further growth. But at the forefront of my mind, as I help drive that expansion, is to ensure we remain firmly focused on the heart of our organisation: our clients. I have helped broaden SpiritAbility’s footprint and built strong relationships with other support agencies in order to improve the services we offer our clients. A large part of my work is also ensuring our admin team, who are invaluable cogs in the wheel that keep SpiritAbility running efficiently, are thriving and feel well supported every day.
