About Paral Mehta

Paral is a trilingual Internationally Trained Lawyer and a paralegal graduate of Georgian College, where she also served as a student representative. She is passionate about assisting in navigating the intricate and ever-evolving landscape of the legal profession. Paral is currently working as a Judicial Assistant for the Superior Court of Justice in Ontario, assisting a panel of five judges in the areas of Civil-Commercial, Family, and Criminal Law. As a Legal Assistant/Law Clerk with over a year of experience, she assisted four attorneys and worked closely with a legal team of professionals. Her role extended to support articling students, summer students, and co-op students, providing assistance in the fields of criminal law, mental health law, family law and immigration law. With a strong passion for law and a commitment to professional growth, she is also pursuing her licensing as a Barrister & Solicitor in Canada, having completed her Paralegal program in 2023 and her Bachelor of Laws in 2020. Her goal is to continue making meaningful contributions to the legal profession while advocating for those in need. As a passionate Mental Health Advocate, her mission is to break down stigmas surrounding mental health, empowering individuals to seek help without fear or judgment. Volunteering as a Mentor at NCA Network, she assists internationally trained lawyers in their pursuit of becoming Barristers and Solicitors in Canada. Additionally, she provides support to those navigating the paralegal program and the P1 licensing process by engaging in impactful one-on-one meetings with mentees. In her free time, Paral loves exploring local cafes/ shops, hiking, and immersing herself in nature to relax. She enjoys connecting with new people and sharing experiences and insights. A fun fact about her is that she loves talking to dogs, as she finds spending time with her furry companions incredibly soothing.
