About Pat Ivory

Pat Ivory is Director of EU and International Affairs at Ibec, representing the interests of leading Irish companies and MNCs, in an extensive range of business sectors. He has in-depth experience in lobbying for business at national, European and international level. Pat represents Irish business on the Executive Committee and is Chair of International Relations Committee of BusinessEurope. He has worked in collaboration with US business organisations including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, NAM and USCIB. Pat is Chair of Trade Committee of Business at the OECD (BIAC), highlighting business priorities to the OECD and their member governments. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the European Services Forum (ESF), which promotes the development of internationally traded services. Pat meets regularly with high-level officials in the European Council, Commission and Parliament. He has been a speaker and chair of panels at WTO Public Forums. Pat is member of the Irish Government Enterprise Forum and Customs Consultative Committee working extensively on the customs and trade implications of Brexit. He previously worked with major transport providers, ranging from seaports and aviation to public transport, to support the strategic development of the sector in Ireland. He also previously worked in the Irish Dairy sector. Pat has a PhD from Dublin City University and holds an M.Litt in International Economics and a B.A. Mod. in Economics from Trinity College Dublin. He has completed leadership programs in the Management Centre Europe (MCE) and the UCD Smurfit Business School.
