Senior Applications Engineer at Microchip | Electrical Engineering, Embedded Development, Deep LearningAs a Senior Applications Engineer at Microchip, I apply my electrical engineering, embedded development and deep learning skills to craft innovative new features for smoke and CO detectors that enhance safety and performance. While working for Microchip, I have filed more than 35 invention disclosures, resulting in 32+ provisional and non-provisional patent applications.I joined the company in November 2022, after more than seven years of experience in developing hardware and machine learning models for the diagnosis of neurological conditions at Korwave, a startup I co-founded and lead as CEO.At Korwave, I created and patented wearable brain monitors for humans and dogs that can detect and report epileptic seizures, traumatic brain injury, and PTSD. My work involved developing novel machine learning approaches to brain signal classification that met or exceeded the accuracy of a panel of expert neurologists.In 2017 and 2018 I participated in the inaugural US-China Youth Forum on Entrepreneurship and Innovation as a Global Innovation Fellow, sponsored by the US State Department, Arizona State University, and the All China Youth Federation. There I fostered business growth and global partnerships in the healthcare sector. I am passionate about using technology to improve the quality of life of people and animals.
