About Patrick Rubin

Engineer Generalist (Ecole des Mines) with a good knowledge of Energy Engineering (Electrical and Renewable). More than 30 years of experience in chemicals, petrochemicals and multi-energy industry, in projects and on manufacturing sites in France and abroad, acquired in various technical and management functions such as project execution Director, Head of Project Control department but also in support to project. I joined the TotalEnergies Company in 1990 (Grande Paroisse Chemical Plant) by starting as a maintenance Manager (Electrical)/ design office and method Manager for 10 years. I then moved on to the Industrial Projects sector (Total Refining and Chemicals & Polymer plants). 17 years of experience in leading industrial development and maintenance projects, up to 60M€, in France and abroad, team management up to 40 people. After the successful start-up of an Ethane Cracker project in Belgium (Antwerp), I moved back within Total’s headquarters, as Head of Project Control department to support Total Refining and Chemicals projects portfolio execution worldwide. Position that I have held for 3 years. Since September 1st 2021, I am in charge of the Cost Control and Technical Assistance to Projects department in the One Tech branch of TotalEnergies. This new branch regroups the Technical and Research & Development entities of the Company. I plan to continue to provide support, advice, train and share my experience. I want to participate in the development or growth of a mature and/or new business (Renewable Energy, Bio Methanation…) but that meets a customer need. After 35 years in the TotalEnergies Company, the company's representation with stakeholders is important to me.
