About Patrick Sapy

Patrick has a long & diverse experience in Social Entrepreneurship, Microfinance and social Finance. He started his career as a loan officer at Adie, the European Microfinance Pioneer. After a banking experience, he joined Adie again as Regional Manager (Paris Region), CFO and Partnership Director where he developed long term relationships with private & public partners such as banks and governments. Between 2008 and 2010, he developed a specific program of funding for social entrepreneurs and was a Founding Board Member of the Mouves (now Impact France), the french Movement of Social Entrepreneurs. In 2010, Patrick started a microfinance organisation in Belgium with the support of BNP Paribas Fortis, the European Investment Fund and Adie. In a few years, microStart has become one of the most innovative and dynamic microfinance organisation in Europe. Patrick was also Board Member (2013-2019) and President (2014-2017) of the European Microfinance Network, the main microfinance practitioners network in Europe. Fair is also well-known to manage a national financial label, Finansol, which has labeled nearly 200 financial products for an outstanding of 30 Bn euros.
