The Operations and Student Affairs Manager manages operational and student affairs processes in the Office of Student Affairs. The Manager works closely with the senior leadership in the Office of Student Affairs to establish and maintain effective workflow and administrative processes for critical initiatives, ensuring efficient and timely response to medical student services inquiries, managing the full range of student services and activities such as the AMS Medical Student Senate, 100+ Student Interest Groups, Summer Research Assistantship funding, Student Wellness Programming, and the Patient Advocacy Community Council. The Manager also assists with Office of Student Affairs communications to students, mentors, program administrators and other AMS stakeholders as it relates to operational and student services. The Operations and Student Affairs Manager joins a team of highly collaborative professionals in the Office of Student Affairs, who work to support more than 570 medical students at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. The Operations and Student Affairs Manager provides high level support for the Associate Dean for Student Affairs, the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, the Chief Wellness Officer, and the Office of Student Affairs overall as well as the Learning and Accessibility Specialist. This includes high‐level, direct support with event planning and management, operating budget monitoring and analysis, and liaising with internal AMS offices, Brown University offices and external constituents. The Operations and Student Affairs Manager is relied upon to research, analyze and resolve issues that arise to make effective use of the Deans’ time. Additionally, the Operations and Student Affairs Manager is the central point of contact and liaison for the Office of Student Affairs.
