Joined Aer Lingus Ground Ops in December 1989 as a clerical agent. Promoted to ground operations supervisor shortly after. Successfully going on to supervise all front line customers service departments.(check-in, departure gates, flight information call center, baggage tracing and arrivals hall). In October approached/headhunted to Scandinavian airlines (SAS) taking up the position of Operations, Sales and Services Handling Coordinator. This role was primarily to provide front line representation and supervision for their then expanding operation and act as a point of contact on behalf of SAS and all its handled airlines.(Air Baltic/ Estonian airlines/ Spannair / Skyways and SAS Brathens). This central position primarily focused on simultaneously managing large multi -skilled operational service teams through a demanding live operation, ensuring that all industry standards, regulations and company policies were adhered to consistently:(SLA's etc,) Acquiring expertise and an extremely varied skill base along the way. In Area's including,*Aircraft handling, load control and dispatch.*Team leadership/staff management.*Time management.*Project planning.and implementation.*Provision of Operational, Service and Sales support and guidance.*Taking Responsibility, Ownership and Accountability for a daily live operation. To name but only a few. In April 2011 joined Canadian Affair/ Air Transat as the Irish Airport Sales/Services Representative.and Supervisor. Successfully winning and completing to date four consecutive seasonal contracts.(2011/12/13/14). Sole company representative and point of contact on behalf of Canadian Affair for all Air Transat customers departing from Irish airports. Providing support services and sales supervision whilst ensuring all handling agents deliver to the highest standards in customer care. Responsible in monitoring all service departments and ensuring all working in accordance with both existing and changing SLA's
