I started in the service industry at the age of 14, as a chef's apprentice; I have held almost every position all the way to restaurant owner; at age 54 I have experience in almost every food service position. I am equally comfortable running an establishment from the front of house as an Area Manager, GM, or as an Executive Chef. I have had great mentors in my career who taught me that cross training and versatility are a necessity to succeed. My education as both a Chef and my bachelor's degree have also been a great help in my career. My only two times out of the service industry have been when I was a United States Marine, and when I worked at Walmart as a manager for two years. I have a passion for the constantly changing atmosphere of the service industry.
