I've spent more than 30 years studying and teaching others about environmental fluid mechanics and related processes, most frequently in coastal and ocean environments. I am interested in a wide variety of problems, solutions, and tools, and have been involved in lab, field, and numerical modeling projects. I retired from the U.S. Geological Survey in 2023 and will be at the Izmir Institute of Technology in Turkey in 2024, supported by a Fulbright Scholarship awarded by the U.S. Department of State.
