Specialties: Our research team specializes in examining the interactions of silicon-based species with biological molecules for the development of green reaction methodologies. A major focus is our research in the field of silicon biotechnology. In addition to our forays into the interface of silicon chemistry and biology we specialize in the synthesis and application of silicon-based coatings to a number of substrates including aluminium, steel, and both biologically-based and synthetic polymers.
