A highly experienced and assertive Planning Enforcement Officer with a strong record of managing complex, sensitive and high‑risk enforcement cases from initial investigation through to formal action and successful resolution. Over the last 2.5 years, I have delivered significant outcomes for the authority, including playing a central role in a major Gypsy and Traveller Public Inquiry and representing the Council at the Royal Courts of Justice in London, contributing directly to a successful outcome for the Local Planning Authority.I have successfully enforced a Section 215 (Untidy Land) Notice through coordinated direct action, ensuring full cost recovery to the authority via land charges on the landowners. My work includes drafting, issuing and serving all statutory notices, managing appeals in line with the Local Enforcement Plan, and preparing robust evidence files to support prosecutions, injunctions and formal proceedings.Technically proficient and highly adaptable, I am experienced in using planning systems, interpreting architectural plans, and reviewing GIS mapping layers to assess sites accurately and make informed decisions. I played a key role in the implementation of the Council’s new bespoke Salesforce‑developed planning system, replacing a 25‑year‑old legacy platform. This included hands‑on system testing, process mapping, workflow development and supporting the rollout of entirely new processes and digital tools across the service.With extensive experience conducting PACE‑compliant interviews, undertaking detailed site inspections, gathering evidence and producing clear, defensible case reports, I consistently uphold planning integrity and protect public amenity.
