About Pedro Pires
Through my professional career, I have touched many aspects of the film creation. From the Computer Graphic Design for "Yo-Yo Ma Inspired by Bach"(winner of the visual effects Emmy Award in 1998, documentary directed by François Girard) to Direction of Photography, Editing and finally as a Director and Co Director with Robert Lepage on many projects. In 2011, I collaborated with Cirque du Soleil designing the video projections for the show Totem. In 2019, I released my first feature "Alexander Odyssey" for which I acted as Director, DOP and Co Editor. The film won "Best Editing in a Feature Length Documentary" at the 2020 Canadian Screen Awards and was also nominated for "Best Cinematography" and "Best Film". In 2017, I returned to 3D Computer Graphics working on "realistic characters & environments" using new technologies. I've been a Director of Photography on many projects.
