About Peg Ross

Peg's deep experience spans both the private sector and international development. She retired as Chief People Officer for Global Communities and PCI, a Global Communities Partner in August 2021 and currently consults for both US domestic and international clients. In her most recent full-time role, she partnered with PCI's CEO, COO, and board through initial merger discussions, due diligence, and post-merger integration with Global Communities, drawing on her expertise leading the people side of three precedent-setting acquisitions in the US commercial real estate sector. She led the process of combining the strategic human capital management efforts and initiatives that supported the vision, mission, and strategic objectives of both organizations. Prior to joining PCI, Peg spent four years at Grameen Foundation, where she developed and led the virtual Human Capital Center, focused on helping pro-poor organizations strengthen their people practices. She also served as the human resources lead on international microfinance teams in Bangladesh and Bhutan, working with local development finance organizations to support their strategic imperatives. Peg has been instrumental in raising awareness of the power of strategic human capital management practices in the development finance sector through numerous workshops and plenary sessions at regional and global industry conferences, and has authored industry publications on strategic human capital management. In addition to her work in international development, she spent over 20 years in the private sector, where she held HR leadership roles in the real estate, legal, financial, and distribution industries. She gained additional international experience in Tokyo, Japan. Peg holds a Master’s degree in organization development with high dean’s honors from Loyola University of Chicago, and a Bachelor’s degree in cultural anthropology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources, a SHRM Senior Certified Professional, and is an Association of Workplace Investigators Certificate Holder.
