About Pencil Boone

My wife and I have lived literally around the world, as we were missionaries with Trans World Radio (TWR) in Bonaire (Southern Caribbean), Swaziland (Southern Africa), Guam, and in Melbourne Australia. Seven weeks after I graduated from Liberty University I left for Bonaire with TWR. Most of my career with TWR was in the role as a Youth Pastor over the airwaves. I became the director of the Next Generation Network for Trans World Radio Australia and spent a great deal of time studying the global youth culture, doing research and speaking on the global youth culture and how we could reach them better by understanding their generational needs. In 2003, we felt God leading us from the familiar (TWR) and moving to an area we had never been to Bangor, Maine. There I continued working with teens through radio and more an more hands on with our teens in our local church. In 2009, I accepted the position of Pastor of Student Ministries and we launched Thrive Student Ministries in July of 2009. All these years later, the locations have changed many times but the people group never has - teenagers! We are thrilled to continue to serve, reach and train the next generation for Jesus Christ!
