About Penny Wilson

I support organisations which support (or wish to support) charity trustees. I offer consultancy, research, training, support programmes, articles, events, panel discussions, workshops and keynotes. If you are planning something which seeks to support trustees, or if you wish to think about how you might be able to better support the trustees in your network, I might be able to help. My clients have included London Funders, ACEVO, NOVA Wakefield, Civil Society Media, the Henry Smith Charity, Yorkshire Funders, Gloucestershire VCSE Alliance, Inclusive Boards, Brook, Kensington and Chelsea Social Council, the Confident Trustee and Blooming Good (for King's College London).I am Festival Director of the Festival of Trusteeship for Eastside People. The Festival happens each November and is the largest gathering of trustees in the UK (1,600 in 2025). I have been a trustee for several organisations, currently of London Plus. I also sit on advisory groups relating to charity governance. I have a particular interest in trustee diversity and am involved in several initiatives to bring a wider group of people into trusteeship.I love to write and speak about trusteeship. Most of my work is with groups of trustees (or aspiring trustees) from multiple organisations. I offer keynotes and workshops, and I am an experienced panel chair. My workshops and keynotes are thought-provoking, energentic, interactive and engaging.
