About Perla Khaled

I am a motivated Chevening Scholar currently pursuing an MSc in Human Rights and Politics at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Prior to my graduate studies, I spent two years working in advocacy and communications at the Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH), a non-profit organization that provides legal and psychosocial support to victims of torture and human rights violations. This experience, along with various research internships and volunteer roles, has equipped me with a strong foundation in human rights advocacy and policy analysis. I hold a BA in Political Science and International Affairs with minors in Multimedia Journalism and Legal Studies from the Lebanese American University (LAU), where I graduated with high distinction and a CGPA of 3.98/4.0. As part of LAU’s honors program, I served as President of the International Affairs Club, participated in the Simulation Models Program, and was awarded the MEPI TLS Gender Scholarship. My involvement in Model United Nations conferences also provided me with the opportunity to organize three international conferences in Izmir and New York City, further enhancing my leadership and diplomacy skills.
