Peter heads Hoefsloot Spatial Solutions that specializes in data analysis, GIS and apps for agriculture, water, climate and nature in Africa and Europe. International partners include several United Nations organizations, World Bank and GIZ. Dutch partners: Province of Noord-Brabant, FutureWater, KWR, Delinea and other. Peter employs highly specialized professionals for specific tasks such as app development, data analysis and GIS and partners with companies around the globe. Some current projects: • Helping the Province of Noord-Brabant to objectively evaluate anti-drought measurements in nature areas (Groote Peel, Kampina and Brabantse Wal). Keywords: satellite and drone data, app development (since 2014) • Providing the analytical basis for drought and flood insurance for African governments (ARC) through innovative algorithms. Partners: African Risk Capacity, Delinea (since 2009) • Assisting the government of Ethiopia to timely react to looming shortfall in agricultural production. Partner: World Food Program of UN. Keywords: Satellite information, livestock farmers, community mapping (since 2013) Peter has initiated many activities at United Nations in the field of crop yield forecasting. His ideas lead to the software package AgrometShell, used in more than 50 countries worldwide since 2001. Peter is highly committed to deliver in several roles, whether it is to lead or to serve. Peter feels at home in interdisciplinary and international environments. In an earlier life he started and enlarged the geo-information group of Royal Haskoning DHV.
