About Peter Kress

As a Software Developer I'm working on applications, backends and tools using C# and PowerShell as main programming languages. I am highly motivated and I love to work with my knowledge and expertise on software solutions and tools. At University of Karlsruhe I have studied and applied Java. Later at University of Heidelberg I have studied and applied C++. In Karlsruhe I have taught students the development with Java for one semester. In Heidelberg I have used C++ to program a micro-controller, a robot. In both universities I have learned fundamentals of object oriented software development as well in Java as in C++. I have learned not only programming languages and their application, but also the art of modelling, design or document a technical system or solution. So I have learned the usage of UML, Software Development Patterns and Principles. Those are experiences of five years and have been collected while studying Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics. I have never completed academic university degrees. After my first and last year at University of Heidelberg I have applied to vocational training on the job for two and a half years in Mannheim. I have achieved the degree "Computer Sience Expert for Software Development" while working on special software solutions for ERP and CRM systems using Java, C#(and SQL) as main programming (query) languages and studying at the Werner-von-Siemens-Schule software development using Java, SQL, HTML5 and PHP. From April 2012 until July 2017 I was working as a Software Engineer at AddressDoctor, Informatica. I have worked on tools, web applications and web services. After that I've decided it was time to look for something new as my skills and knowledge weren’t improving anymore as I wished them to and I have had to take action, as experience comes with new challenging projects and tasks on the job itself.
