About Peter Miele

I’ve had various roles throughout my career. I’ve been a secondary and post-secondary educator, a consultant, and a Pastor. In all of those pursuits, my focus was in team building. I’ve never had the opportunity to take a position where everything was firing on all cylinders; in fact, in most cases I needed to build or rebuild a team, sometimes from the ground up. Team building consists of three things: 1. Vision and vision casting – knowing where you are, where you want to go, and how your team integrates into the whole of the organization. Knowing the strengths and weakness of your team and developing every team member to become better. Charting a path that moves in the right direction and brings along every member of the team. As a consultant, I helped teams understand those three things and helped them chart that path. I helped develop leaders who understood leadership from an altruistic viewpoint – one in which every member of the team wins. Leadership and team building is not for the faint of heart. Good leaders lead by direction and incentives. Great leaders lead by motivation and compassion.
