About Peter Rosengren

Peter Rosengren is the managing director of CNet Sweden and one of the founders of the company. He has a Master's degree and a degree of Licentiate of Technology in computer science from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm. He is one of the architects and developers behind Visual Net Server, a semantic annotation server. He has long-time experience in service oriented architectures and his current work is focused on cloud computing, semantic web interoperability, ontologies, mobile and wireless ambient intelligence applications. He has been involved as a project manager for projects in application domains like energy efficiency, ehealth, intelligent homes, building automation, media and publishing. He was the Technical Coordinator of Hydra, a pan-european integrated project in the field of "Internet for things", where a semantic-based middleware for networked embedded devices was developed to allow building of applications for intelligent homes, ehealth and agriculture. The project resulted in the Open Source middleware LinkSmart. Currently he is the technical coordinator of the integrated project ebbits developing enabling technology for business-based Internet of Things, and Reaction, an integrated project which develops personal health monitoring technologies for chronic disease management, with a specific focus on diabetes. He has also served as techncial coordinator for the Artemis project developing IoTs solutions for energy efficiency in smart homes. Prior to founding CNet he was a research director at Swedish Institute of Systems Development, SISU, where he managed the Human Computer Interaction research group. Between 1986-1996 he was a columnist and freelance writer for the computer magazine Datateknik. Since 2003 he has been serving the EU commission as an independent expert to evaluate and review EU-financed research and development IT-projects.
