Prior to withdrawing from the partnership at Roy O'Connor LLP (January 1, 2025) I specialized in complex corporate/commercial, D&O duties, oppression, securities, mining related litigation, plaintiff and defence class actions, estate litigation, wrongful dismissal and injunctions. I am a certified specialist in civil litigation, and have been recognized in both L'Expert and Benchmark for my litigation expertise; the latter recognizing me as one of the top 50 trial lawyers in Canada and a member of the Benchmark Litigation Hall of Fame I am active as a mediator and arbitrator with FCIArb and Harvard Mediation Certification qualifications. With my years of litigation courtroom experience and the delay and expense of that form of dispute resolution coupled with the gridlock in our court system; I know that the better approach to dispute resolution is a sincere attempt at mediation and if that fails, using the far more efficient arbitration process.
