About Peyton Spangler

Recent social work and women & gender studies graduate from TCU, I am passionate about advocacy and social justice focusing on gendered issues. My experience as a campus organizer for MOVE Texas and as a founding member of TCU's student advocacy council has allowed me to lead multiple advocacy initiatives, promoting civic engagement on campus. Through my field placement with Partnership Home (formerly Tarrant County Homeless Coalition), I have gained a deeper understanding of housing insecurity, assisting with case management, and supporting individuals experiencing homelessness. I gained further non-profit experience during my time interning at LGBTQ SAVES, where I played a key role in standardizing and building educational curricula for youth. I am currently seeking opportunities that will allow me to gain practical experience in the social work field and expand upon the knowledge I have cultivated through academic and extracurricular activities.
