About Philippe Bourbeau

Level Design Director I’m a passionate and experienced Level Design Director in the video game industry. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to some of Ubisoft’s most iconic IPs including Assassin’s Creed, Prince of Persia, Far Cry, Rainbow Six, Avatar and Watch Dogs across both the Montréal and Québec studios. After Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, I became Level Design Director at Ubisoft. My first assignment was to work on Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will always be a special project for me, where everything seems to be at the right place and at the right time. We truly achieve a master piece, with limited resources. After AC Odyssey, I move back in Montreal in 2018 where I continue my role of Level Design Director on multiple projects at Ubisoft Montreal. My strength lies in my ability to adapt quickly to different genres, production realities, and creative visions, always with the player experience in mind. Whether leading large-scale open-world environments or more contained, narrative-driven spaces, I work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure gameplay, storytelling, and world-building build up. My goal is always to deliver a memorable moment for player.
