About Phillip Durity

How can you expect an 18-year-old kid to know what they want to do for the rest of their life? In addition to that, will they be happy with what they do? I was lucky enough to have a jacked-up childhood because it shed a light on my insecurities. I didn’t always feel like I was worth much. I was depressed. I thought I was to blame for everything bad that happened. I wasn’t confident. Plain and simple. I had this feeling that I wasn't enough, and this constant striving to prove my worth would remain until I got real with myself. My insecurities led me down a path of therapy. My therapy was putting myself through struggle and getting a reward from it. I did that through exercise. My mom was the biggest influence on me and was the person who opened the door to fitness. My dad was absent growing up due to his demons with drug abuse which made my mom and I’s relationship that much stronger, and we did that through exercise. It was a time where I could do something positive and as a result, I gained self-confidence. That feeling of accomplishment was addicting which then led me down the road of pursuing greater challenges that required both physical and mental strength. Battling through multiple Ironman’s, 100-mile races and pushing my body to what I thought was the limit taught me something about adversity. I learned that: I do have what it takes to literally do anything in this life. Through those rewards and feelings that I derived from physical and mental exhaustion, I decided at 18 years old that I am going help others unlock their full potential through exercise. It’s been an incredible journey for the last decade building my own fitness business because of the people I’ve met and the life lessons I’ve learned. Investing in yourself while challenging your preconceived limits grants you a completely new perspective in life and what’s possible. And as a coach, mentor, and business owner I’ve walked alongside hundreds of men to help them become physically, mentally, emotionally strong to become their best self.
