About Phoebe Kelly

I’m a Human Geography graduate with a deep curiosity about how sustainability plays out in the real world, not just in theory. Right now, I’m spending time travelling internationally, using this experience as an opportunity to observe and reflect on how different cultures interact with their environment, manage resources, and adapt to global environmental challenges. This journey isn’t just about seeing new places; it’s about learning from them. I’m interested in the small, everyday actions that drive sustainable living, as well as the larger systems (social, economic, and political) that shape those behaviours. I’m paying close attention to how climate action, consumption, and culture intersect in practice. My degree in Human Geography focused on the complex relationships between people, places, and the environment. I developed a strong understanding of global inequalities, urban development, environmental governance, and the social dimensions of climate change. Through both qualitative and quantitative research, I explored how human behaviour is influenced by geography, and how real change often happens at the intersection of policy, community, and lived experience. As a person, I’m naturally curious, organised, and reflective. I care about finding solutions that are grounded, human-centred, and realistic. Long-term, I’m driven to work in roles that contribute to meaningful climate action, behaviour change, and sustainable development, especially those that connect people to systems in ways that make change feel accessible and doable. I’m always open to connecting with others working in sustainability, climate communication, and social or environmental change, to collaborate, share ideas, or simply learn.
