About Pierre-Yves Guinet

With a 15 years’ experience in optronics (detecting and emitting light, at the overlap between optics and electronics), I got the opportunity to develop a wide set of skills: technical, bid and project management, sales development and marketing strategy. Since summer 2024, I am gathering these competences as COO of ITOPP, a french SME leader in high pulse power. After following trainings in communication (media training, public speaking) or in sales domain (value pricing), I have had numerus occasions to implement it in practical situations. As a result, I am very comfortable during media interviews or important sales presentations. The experience I most cherish is the opportunity I was given to attend the French "Ecole de guerre" as a civilian scholar when I was working for Thales. I spent a year with remarkable French officers as they were taught how to become military leaders. This led me to have a better understanding of armed forces and gave me the will to always be customer oriented. People I work for and my teams can count on my strong leadership to lead difficult missions to success, such as high value product development or must-win opportunity captures, in high technological domains. I am married and father of four children.
