About Piotr Statkiewicz

During my studies in law and philosophy, I acquired analytical skills allowing me to apply a fresh approach to different sectors of private business. The activity in student organisations taught me how to organise small and projects and manage teams.I use my experience in the Semper Augustus Foundation which promotes specialist knowledge in the area of financial markets, economic and commercial law, banking law and new technologies by organising conferences, debates, lectures and workshops.I also work full time as a scrum master and compliance specialist in SoftNet, a company that provides software for cooperative banks in Poland. My main responsibilities are strictly connected with my soft skills, organisational experience and legal knowledge.When I started working at SoftNet, the company was transitioning to agile methodologies. As part of the transformation, there was a need to act as a scrum master for a team working in LeSS. Because of my familiarity with the company's context and my desire to grow, I took on this role. I am constantly developing in this area.Combining the duties of a compliance specialist and a scrum master is difficult, but it turns out to be very useful and effective, especially in developing safe and quality software. The level of commitment to each role depends on the needs of the company and the team at the time.My research interests focused on the theory and philosophy of law, in particular the concept of animal rights, and bioethics.
