About Pranto Biswas

With a desire to expand the professional career in the development sector, I would like to work in the development field with passion, integrity, and honesty that may reach me to help the marginalised people who belong in poverty, are deprived of basic rights, and have fewer facilities as well. And it's been over five and half years since pursuing my goals in the development sector. I'm currently working as a Senior Officer with Brac in the migration programme. I had previously worked with ActionAid Bangladesh, Jagrata Juba Shangha (JJS) as a Project Officer at Khulna city on a climate change adaptation & mitigation project and also worked with Shushilan as a Sponsorship Officer in one of the most vulnerable and disaster-prone areas called Patharghata under Barguna district before working with Brac. My expertise has developed in Climate Change, Disaster risk reduction (DRR), Climate actions & Migration. Not only that, I have gathered practical knowledge on several socio-economic issues like GBV, women's rights, sponsorship, capacity building, and worked with multiple participants including children, adolescents, young people, and women. Additionally, I have developed an "Emergency Preparedness Plan (EPP)" for ActionAid Bangladesh and its partner organizations with the assistance of the Humanitarian Programme team as well as the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) team. I am experienced in communicating with multi-level stakeholders including Government Departments & Ministries, NGOs, Policymakers, the media, the private sector, and relevant departments. Support facilitating and organizing field visits, workshops, training, meetings, and related activities. I can maintain close contact and communication for project planning and other issues with supervisors, partners, counterparts, service providers, the private sector, and project participants. Along with that, I am well-versed in the use of various planning, monitoring, evaluation, and learning tools and methodologies. My ability to adapt and utilize these frameworks effectively has allowed me to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and measure the impact of interventions. In addition, I conducted research and visited numerous coastal areas while at Khulna University through voluntary work & thesis. My ultimate goal is to develop and enhance skills as well as knowledge in the development (especially humanitarian) sector so that can contribute to unprivileged, marginalized people and overall the country.Thank you so much.
