About Prisca Spitz

I am passionate about social justice. I actively pursue opportunities to engage with the local community and volunteer regularly. I created and implemented a Community Service curriculum for our students in the seventh and eighth grades in which they learned to deconstruct stereotypes surrounding the issue of homelessness and to volunteer monthly at our local shelter. I am also engaged in many environmental activities to support sustainability, especially highlighting the importance of conservation to young students who will ultimately be responsible for the future of our planet. My strongest asset is also my strongest belief: I value honesty and integrity. I constantly challenge myself to work diligently towards these values and to instill them in the students with whom I work. I am also a "people person", and I am always looking for ways to connect people in the work place and join me in my efforts. In fact, a number of teachers now regularly volunteer with me. I always believe in making the most of opportunities and making the world a better place.
