About R. Baker

First, I am an African-American professional and native of the Washington D.C-Metro region with a professional brand that demonstrates professional expertise and achievement. I have 14 years of professional experience as a Congressional Staffer to former Texas Congressman Thomas “Chet” Edwards of Waco, Texas. Second, I have strong organizational, leadership, and communications abilities. I am exceptionally adaptable with a professional presence and solid public speaking experience. Further, I have knowledge of the legislative process and am gaining experience in project management. Third, I believe in constant training and professional development to keep both working skills and professional development up-to-date and sharp at a time when knowledge of computer and technical skills can directly influence performance and results. Fourth, I have significant experience in roles in HR related issues – reviewing resumes, interviewing, training, and supervising subordinates. Further, I have experience in problem-solving skills - liaising, coordinating, advising, and recommending potential options when faced with difficult problems. Fifth, I also have experience in public affairs, and constituent/customer service and project development.
