About Rachel Begun

I am a coach, facilitator and culture consultant, seasoned by 20+ years as a health and nutrition communications expert, and the experience of founding and managing a communications strategy firm. I partner with individuals, teams and organizations-personally and professionally-to help them achieve the transformational change they seek. I do this through developmental coaching, facilitating conversations that matter, and planning purpose-driven meetings, conferences and gatherings. Through my education, experience and personal lifestyle, health and wellness is in my DNA. I believe individuals must thrive personally before they can be their best for others. I support leaders and teams to foster cultures of wellbeing for themselves and within their organizations and communities, so all can thrive and bring their best, most innovative selves to work and life. As a nationally-recognized registered dietitian nutritionist and former National Media Spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, I have an impressive portfolio for contributing expertise to the public, health professionals and organizations through public speaking, writing, and conducting interviews with top media outlets. I graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in Biology and concentration in pre-medical studies from Emory University, earned a M.S. degree in Nutrition Education from Teachers College, Columbia University and completed my dietetic internship program to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist there as well. I am an ICF Certified Coach and graduated from the Hudson Institute Coach Certification Program. I live in Westchester County, NY with my husband, Darren, and dog, Zoe. My happy places include hiking in the mountains, cooking and baking in the kitchen, and meditating/journaling in my office.
