About Rachel Chatting

Rachel has over nine years’ experience working as a Project Manager/Ecologist both in the UK and overseas. Rachel has been working in the Middle East, where she was a project manager for small, medium and large environmental projects. Responsibilities included client liaison, budget management, tender preparation and technical support. Rachel specializes in Environmental Impact Assessments for both marine and terrestrial projects. Rachel is a keen ornithologist and has managed bird surveys for a large scale infrastructure project. She has also coordinated the bird surveys for a large scale wind farm development site in Western Scotland. During this time she has carried out a wide range of species specific surveys for birds and been involved in radio tracking nightjars. Rachel has managed a number of projects which include otter, white clawed crayfish and dormouse surveys. Rachel has gained a wide range of experience carrying out a number of protected species surveys. These range from undertaking rare reptile surveys, great crested newts, bats and dormice surveys. She also has an ESAS accreditation for off shore bird surveys and a barn owl license. In addition, she has experience in undertaking and writing Phase 1, BREEAM and various other species reports. Rachel has delivered numerous Environmental Impact Assessments, license applications for great crested newts and Environmental Statements.
