Background

About Rachelle Caplan

With my background in art, education, and nonprofit leadership, I am passionate about changing lives through art. My experience comes from being a teacher, artist, yoga and mindfulness instructor, and community organizer. I work to share my social consciousness and compassion for humanity in each of my projects. I strive to find creative ways to help others to empower themselves and better their communities. My research interests include: education, community-building, group dynamics, social enterprise, mindfulness, yoga, art and music. For the past decade, I have been immersed in Cincinnati’s vibrant art and music community. The insight I’ve gained by working with prolific organizations has granted me the tools to bring together distinct groups to collaborate and flourish. My career has become an outlet for my drive to evolve, leading me to expand my passion for art, education, and community. I value supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds using creative means, new technologies and clear communication with the aim of answering tough questions and bridging new ideas. By using transformational leadership psychology to inform the direction of my initiatives, I strive to build thriving, innovative teams. Through the incorporation of statistical data to establish a realistic foundation and accurate decision-making, my teams continually accomplish specific goals. Being a first generation college student, I have found ways to inspire myself to do great things. I see that once a person has empowered themselves, they have the tools to lead others on a similar path of self-discovery.
