Background

About Raffaela G.

In February 2024, I completed my PhD at the Institute of Software Engineering and Programming Languages at Ulm University (Germany). Since then, I have been working as a postdoc in the Interaction Design and Software Engineering division at Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden). My main research interest is the modeling and analysis of non-functional properties, such as performance and security. Currently, I am focusing on the modeling and analysis of security at design time in the context of software supply chains and at runtime in the context of self-adaptive systems. During my employment at Ulm University, I worked on the joint analysis of safety and security at runtime for self-adaptive systems. My PhD thesis consists of a performance engineering approach for declarative model transformation languages, which includes a performance profiler and a machine learning-based prediction approach. In addition to my research, I am also interested in web engineering and project management. I worked for two years as a system administrator for web applications and later supported corresponding lectures. I have taken over the technical project lead and organization of software and research projects several times during my employment at the University of Applied Science Neu-Ulm (Germany) and Ulm University.
