The Banh Mi Chronicles Podcast was recognized by National Geographic Society as one of the recommended Asian American podcasts in April 2021. In May 2021, Apple Podcast named "The Banh Mi Chronicles Podcast" as part of the "Never Voiceless, Moving Forward" playlist to celebrate Asian Pacific Islander Month. In June 2021, the Asian American Journalist Association endorsed the podcast episode,"Making Movements to Honor Us" w/ guest Helen Zia on Twitter. In 2022, the podcast was nominated as Best Asian-hosted podcast for the 2022 People's Choice Podcast Awards.
