Senior legal executive with 17+ years of international experience across healthcare, consulting, software, and private practice. Currently Regional Legal Director at Abbott, I oversee legal strategy and operations for the BeNeLux, France, and Nordic regions, and lead the Legal Optimization Center, driving innovation and efficiency across the department. At Abbott, I provide strategic legal support across all divisions - including medical devices (EMEA HQ in Brussels), diagnostics, nutrition, and established pharmaceuticals. My scope includes complex commercial transactions (including public tenders), product launches, regulatory compliance, litigation and settlements, and governmental investigations. I also contribute to global legal initiatives in areas such as antitrust, AI, and legal tech transformation, ensuring legal strategy is aligned with business goals across regions, and manage a team of lawyers supporting these geographies. Previously at McKinsey, I led legal support for commercial agreements, risk management, litigation, and operational excellence. I built legal training programs, enhanced compliance processes, and managed a team of commercial attorneys. Earlier in my career, I worked in Magic Circle law firms, advising on M&A, joint ventures, and private equity transactions, and served as Senior Legal Counsel in a multinational software company. Fluent in German, French, and English, with good working knowledge of Dutch and Luxembourgish.
