About Rasmus Caspersen

Master of Forest and Nature management with strong statistical abilities and communication skills. I strive to put my knowledge to work and share it with my surroundings. We live in a world which requires new and smart solutions to tackle the problems we are facing. With an education in human-wildlife interaction I am concerned for our nature, especially when considering dependent on ecosystem services. We need to act appropriately and rather sooner than later. I am skilled data analysist able to extract, process and interpret data related to ecosystem services such as carbon storage, stand volume carbon fixation and human-wildlife interactions/conflicts. In my Masters’ thesis I’ve worked with illegal hunting in Kenya/Tanzania through collaboration with the privately-owned conservancy “Mara Conservancy. The result provided identification of annual monthly patterns, development of trends over a 16-year timespan and maps made in GIS displaying the pattern of grouped years. I am very social and appreciate simple work ethics such as saying “good morning” when meeting in the morning and “goodbye” when leaving the workplace. I see myself as a professional and friendly colleague who is always eager to help.
