The trend toward increasing electronic filing & payment mandates is expected to accelerate over the next few years. Most states require employers to pay and file taxes electronically. Tax law changes in the tax field are making it more and more difficult to comply with tax compliance and resulting in huge P&I assessed on defiant employers. You will be amazed to see how PA unemployment department is imposing up to civil penalties on employers after they changed their website and rules last year in December. There was no amnesty period provided. I have over 20 years of experience in federal, state and local taxes payroll taxes. I have worked on online business filings, amendments, notice resolution, payments and efile rejects. Every year I get millions of dollars waived on P&I from state, federal and local agencies. The traditional methods of notice resolution may not be appropriate in today’s world. Adopting new ways of dealing with notice resolution and conferring to changes made by state and federal agencies has become a must in today tax world. Finding innovative ways of resolving tax issues is my passion. I don’t believe in constraints of timing or jurisdiction to resolve tax issues.
