My name is Ray, and I am currently employed by the Ministry of Justice. Previously, I served as an Advocate for Sussex Police, bringing over 20 years of experience in policing and digital forensics. I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in International Security from the University of Sussex and possess a strong technical foundation in cybercrime and digital investigations. I am passionate about harnessing technology to uncover vital evidence and support the work of law enforcement and the wider justice system. I work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and legal professionals to ensure efficient court processes and victim-centred outcomes. As a dedicated volunteer, I support vulnerable witnesses and victims by helping them give evidence via secure video links—creating a safe and compassionate environment through a blend of empathy and problem-solving. A strong advocate of lifelong learning, I have authored technical training materials for both new recruits and seasoned officers, and contributed to policy development within the Hi-Tech Crime Unit, aligning procedures with the latest advances in forensic science. Outside of my professional responsibilities, I maintain a keen interest in technology, literature, military history, politics, and science fiction. I am deeply committed to the responsibilities of my role and remain driven by a clear sense of purpose: contributing to the safety and security of the communities I serve.
