About Regina Johnson

It is well known that talent acquisition and retention are two critical functional areas within an organization responsible for building and maintaining a workforce. I believe the key to job retention lies within the “psychological contract” between employee and employer, which has been broken for some time now. As a quick note, in the past, the perception of this unspoken contract significantly influenced loyalty, commitment, and trust, creating an environment of security for both employee and employer mutually. Unfortunately, the act of consistent restructuring and continual massive layoffs country-wide has brought the nation into an era of mistrust and job insecurity, leading to consistent turnover. Employers need to understand that the secret sauce of increasing job retention and productivity will be through employee value, loyalty, and satisfaction. This is where my passion lies, and this is where I thrive. My goal is to strengthen relationships between individuals and organizations. I believe that creating a positive, thriving company culture that offers opportunity, engagement, and workplace well-being is essential. My experiences have made me well-rounded in improving organizational performance and effectiveness. My Master’s of Science in Industrial Organizational Psychology has provided me with a robust knowledge bank of human resources best practices, techniques, methods, and skills to enhance an organizational workforce in many ways. Additionally, I am a consultant by nature and have an innate drive for problem-solving. This means being a strategist, a troubleshooter, and a planner in every instance. I am a firm believer that there is a solution for everything, and a forecast for the future exists in any event. Achieving these tasks takes listening skills, observation, research, data, and strategic planning.
