About Reynald Maeda

Reynald is a development professional with over 10 years experience in Sustainable Development field and Youth Development work in Tanzania. Actively engages in influencing National, Regional and Global Sustainable Development processes. Experienced in development programs, strategic advocacy, driven-evidence-based advocacy, strategic planning, fund raising, human centered design, human rights-based approach, climate resilience and environmental sustainability, youth development in economic empowerment and livelihood improvement, creation of an enabling environment for young entrepreneurs. He has played an active role in influencing and shaping national development processes such as the Five Years Development Plan The National Sustainable Development Coordination Mechanism, establishment of the Parliamentary Group for Sustainable Development, National Voluntary Reviews, the Data for SDGs Roadmap. He is active in National, Regional and Global platforms For Sustainable Development -currently sitting as co-convener of the Tanzania Sustainable Development Platform, co-chair of the Africa Regional Civil Society Engagement Mechanism (ARCSEM)- East Africa Region under the Africa Regional Forum for Sustainable Development. Organized, moderated and participated and moderated expert panels on Sustainable Development, Data for Development. On Youth Development he has contributed in the review process on the National Youth Development Policy of 2007, and continues to engage in the in the development of the new policy. Reynald has worked in access to finance for young entrepreneurs contributing to reforms in public funds and programs available for youth, women and people with disabilities.
