About Richard Duffield

I'm a very inquisitive person, who loves finding new opportunities for us to succeed and to create products and services which users love. I am praised for combining a thirst for new ideas with the work ethic to see them through to fruition. Most of all I like to learn. Working with location data gives a fascinating insight into many different aspects of life including public services, security, utilities, banking, major events such as the Olympics and growing the economy. I receive compliments for blending a deep understanding of complex issues with the interpersonal skills to bring together people from different specialities. I highly value win-win relationships. I have worked at the centre of excellence for address, property and street data for 12 years spanning technical, consultancy and management roles and am pleased to have contributed to such an important and successful part of our national data infrastructure. I'm currently enjoying a brief to develop the address portfolio for an organisation at the leading edge of location data. This involves working with partners and users across the public and private sectors in Great Britain and around the globe. Away from work my passion for learning is just as strong and I’m currently learning to play tennis. I love being outdoors and you might find me running in local parks, walking at Kinder Scout or cycling in Europe.
