About Richard Gute

After 28 years with Subway, I decided to retire in August of 2015. It was a difficult decision but since my wife and Director of operations was involved in a near fatal car accident in December of 2014, the decision was clear. Subway has been a truly invaluable educational process and I feel privileged to have been instrumental in the development of over 100 restaurants during my career. Since then, I have spent more time with my family and done some significant self assessment. I have pursued real estate investments as well as other cash flow opportunities. I have discovered that despite my best efforts, my golf abilities have not improved enough for me to dedicate more time to and that I miss the challenges of the business world. 58 is just too young to take up shuffle board. Although I will never go back to working full time, I am looking for an opportunity to utilize my skills in the retail, real estate and project management fields in one form or another. I am an excellent bean counter and have a good handle on operational profitability. I am currently available in a consulting capacity as well as a potential investor for the right opportunities.
