Background

About Rielle Haig

I’m an environmental professional and bilingual communicator (English/French) with a background in research, stakeholder engagement, and nonprofit communications. Currently, I work as a craft beer brewer at Burdock Brewery, at their new Kensington Market production facility. I’ve rapidly gained hands-on knowledge of brewing processes and take pride in contributing to the production of high-quality craft beer in Ontario. Alongside this, I support research and partnership development, grant writing, and internal communications at Headwaters Wilderness Program, helping build a nature-based education program from the ground up. My experience spans sectors, from public service to NGOs to craft brewing, where I’ve led strategic initiatives, supported equity-focused research, and built strong cross-sector relationships. I hold a Master in Environmental Studies from York University with a focus on accessibility and inclusion in outdoor spaces. I’m passionate about connecting people to place, creating accessible environmental education opportunities, and contributing to initiatives that reflect equity, sustainability, and community well-being.Always open to collaborations and conversations, I would love to connect!
