About Rin Zenith Lopez

Welcome! I am a bilingual mental health professional working to obtain an LPCC certification. As I move towards becoming a psychotherapist, I am meanwhile working as a peer support counselor to provide holistic and non-medicalizing peer-to-peer support in recovery. I am especially inspired by the contemporary work of Eric Reinhart, who analyzes psychiatry through an abolitionist lens, as well as Dr. Devon Price and Dr. Jennifer Mullan, who evaluate the conditions of settler-colonialism and socioeconomic factors in engendering mental health struggles, preventing recovery pathways due to racialized capital hoarding. My diverse work experiences include the publishing, legal, and educational fields. As a result, I’ve gained trans-contextual practical skills that are widely applicable. In my free time you might find me rock climbing or weightlifting!
